DALLAS - Congressman Colin Allred today released his second ad for his reelection campaign in the 32nd District. The ad emphasizes his bipartisan work to secure the Garland VA Medical Center, which is now open and serving veterans and will create 5,000 jobs over time. The ad started running on broadcast and cable in the Dallas market today.
“Our veterans are owed the best, and it’s why when I got to Congress I quickly started working with local stakeholders and people in both parties to get the Garland VA across the finish line,” said Allred. “After months of negotiations and discussions, we got it done by putting politics aside and working together. I thank the hardworking folks at the North Texas VA system, and everyone who is now working and serving veterans at the now open Garland VA Medical Center. I will always work to keep our commitment to our veterans and their families.”
The ad features veterans Allen Vaught who served in Iraq, Paul Tafalla who served in Vietnam and Jennifer Guyot-Wallace who served in the Gulf War.
“Service” Ad Script:
The main VA campus here in Dallas is great, but it’s overcrowded.
For me that’s my primary health care, that’s everything for me.
The new VA hospital in Garland that Congressman Allred helped get done, simply means easier access to health care for veterans here in North Texas.
He worked in a bipartisan manner.
Congressman Allred, he gets things done.
Getting something like that done, a new hospital, a new VA hospital. It is just amazing. I am very proud of him.
